Fire Shuts Major Kenyan Airport

A massive fire has forced authorities to close Kenya's main international airport as firefighters work to contain blaze.

Large clouds of smoke rose above Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi after the fire broke out early Wednesday.

The blaze has caused extensive damage to the international arrivals area, and forced flights to be routed to other airports.

The site is the busiest airport in East Africa.
