— Ever since al-Qaida terrorists hijacked four airplanes on September 11, 2001, carrying out suicide missions that killed nearly 3,000 people, the United States has paid tribute to the victims with expansive media coverage. 9/11 was a tragedy. I will always remember where I was when it happened.
Did the news run continual coverage of Pearl Harbor in 1952? I doubt it. Did the JFK assassination get nonstop coverage in 1974?
This cult of worshiping tragedy is disgusting. Move on, people. You can remember this in your hearts, where it belongs-not in a continual loop of broadcasting.
