Police on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi have arrested two men following a gunfight with alleged terrorists that left two officers injured.
Authorities in the Central Sulawesi town of Poso Tuesday accused one of the men of being a courier for Daeng Koro, an Islamist group the government considers a terrorist organization.
Poso Police Chief Susnadi told VOA's Indonesian service that weapons were seized at the time of the arrest.
He said, “We arrested two persons, confiscated one firearm with 42 bullets and one homemade bomb that was packed in Tupperware.”
Police say they are still looking for additional suspects in the Monday gunbattle with police.
