Israeli warplanes have struck two targets in the Gaza Strip after two rockets were fired at Israel.

The Israeli military said the strikes early Saturday hit Hamas military bases near Gaza City.  No casualties have been reported.

An army spokesperson said the strike was in response to rockets fired at the Israeli city of Ashdod Friday, and said the military will retaliate against all acts of aggression against Israeli civilians.

Attacks flared up between Israel and militants in the Palestinian territory last week, with shots fired by both sides.  But Friday's rocket strikes into southern Israeli were the first attacks from Gaza since a cease-fire took hold last Sunday.
