Officials with Pakistan's intelligence service said Saturday the agency had no role in revealing the name of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency chief in their country.
The officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said such allegations risked creating new rifts between the United States and Pakistan.

The Pakistani lawsuit comes nearly a month after a U.S. civil suit filed in New York City linked the chief of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence agency (ISI) to the 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai, India that killed 166 people.
U.S. officials do not comment on the drone strikes except to say they are an integral part of the war against al-Qaida terrorists who use Pakistan's tribal regions as a strategic base. An intelligence official told reporters Friday that the CIA mission in Pakistan will continue unabated.
