Suicide Bomber Kills 2 in Afghanistan

Officials in eastern Afghanistan say a suicide car bomber has attacked a police compound, killing two police officers and wounding at least five other people.

Authorities say the blast happened Saturday in Jalalabad, the capital of Nangarhar province.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, which came as Afghan President Hamid Karzai and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry held a second day of talks in Kabul.

Afghan militants have increased their attacks in a campaign to retake territory as foreign forces withdraw.
