World oil prices moved back above $65 a barrel in Friday's trading as analysts expressed concern that it will take time to repair hurricane damage to the U.S. oil industry.

The price of crude oil for future delivery hit $65.32 a barrel in New York, an increase of about 83 cents from yesterday. 

U.S. officials have said oil production from the Gulf of Mexico is still well below normal levels, and four refineries will need months of repair. 

The Gulf coast is responsible for about 30 percent of U.S. crude oil and much of America's refining capacity.

Oil prices have been generally easing since hitting an all-time record high of $70.85 on August 30.
