Japanese women have captured gold medals in three different weight categories at the Wrestling World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

Japan's Saori Yoshida scored her 93rd straight win by beating China's Su Lihui to take the 55-kilomgram division gold medal.

Meanwhile in the 59-kilogram division, Ajako Shoda downed Hungary's Mariann Sastin to take the gold. Sastin's silver medal was her country's first in the women's world championships.

Olympic champion Kaori Icho of Japan beat China's Jing Ruixue to win the gold in the 63-kilogram competition. It was Icho's third consecutive world championship title.

Two Americans captured bronze medals.  Olympic silver medalist Sara McMann beat Russian Anna Polovena in the 63-kilogram category.  Sally Roberts defeated Poland's Anna Zwirydowska in the 59-kilogram bronze medal match.

The competition continues Friday with women's events in 67- and 72-kilogram weight classes and the men's Greco-Roman 66-kilogram competition.  The meet ends Sunday.
