U.S. presidential hopefuls have addressed their cheering supporters, vowing to press ahead to become the next president of the United States.

Arizona Senator John McCain told a rally in his home state that he has won a number of important victories, placing him as the Republican frontrunner for the party nomination.

In Arkansas, former Governor Mike Huckabee said conservatives are making their voices heard, propelling him to victories in some southern states.

Mitt Romney spoke to a rally in Massachusetts, telling those gathered that it is time for the U.S. economy to be strengthened. He vowed to keep battling for the presidency.

In New York City, Senator Hillary Clinton said voters came out in record numbers, seeking not just to make history but to remake history.

Senator Barack Obama spoke in Chicago and called on his supporters to seize the moment and write a new chapter in American history.
