As part of our special coverage of the U.S. Mid-term elections on November 7, the Voice of America will offer special and extended live coverage, as well as an interactive, live Internet Chat about the election results. The live chat is scheduled for Wednesday, 8 November, from 1500 to 1600 UTC (10:00 – 11:00 EST). Jim Malone and Dan Robinson, two of VOA’s senior political experts, will discuss the results and the potential effects of the U.S. Congressional and state elections and take your questions online. Tuesday, 7 November, VOA’s special election day coverage will be carried on AM, FM, shortwave, television, and the Internet, and on our affiliate radio and TV stations. We will also have day-after coverage on Wednesday, 8 November. Highlights include:

VOA correspondents will file on-the-scene reports from Washington, D.C.; New York City; Houston, Texas; Los Angeles, California; and Miami, Florida.
Coverage in English will include newscasts at the top of each hour for FM affiliates and in-depth coverage for shortwave audiences in East and South Asia and in Africa.
Our Indonesian service will bring viewers up to date elections results by joining affiliate stations three times a day with live reports from Washington and Los Angeles.
VOA Mandarin’s Capitol Hill reporter will join a team from affiliate ETTV, one of the top TV stations in Taiwan, for a live discussion of elections results.
VOA Bosnian, Albanian, and Serbian will provide special reports to major networks in the Balkans.
Persian will provide extensive television coverage through its four hours of live broadcasting to Iran.
