Immigration to the United States - A VOA News Series for May

03 May 2005

The United States remains a magnet for those fleeing turmoil and persecution and others simply seeking a better life. Robust immigration guarantees the continuation of a dynamic, ever-changing American society.

During the month of May, VOA features a special news series on immigration.  We'll look at what brings people to the U.S., changes in immigration law, and how immigrants fit into U.S. society.  We'll also look at some of the newest immigrant communities in the country.

The topics and reports from the series can be found on our special web page, Immigration - The Changing Face of America.  Check back frequently, since new stories are still being added.
