A study released in Washington (01 May 2007) shows press freedom continued to suffer global decline in 2006, with troubling trends especially evident in Asia, the former Soviet Union and Latin America. Freedom Housealso warns of increased Internet restrictions in some countries. In addition, the organization released a map outlining the state of press freedom worldwide.
