Women of warZimbabwe Minister Talks to VOA

Zimbabwe has one of the highest number of emigrants.  An estimated three to four million people have fled the country because of political turmoil which negatively impacted the economy.  Sekai Holland, Zimbabwe's Minister of National Healing, Reconciliation and Integration recently sat down to talk to VOA’s Ndimyake Mwakalyelye about how the coalition government is attempting to implement change.

Rape is often a weapon of war, leaving victims with many physical and psychological scars. Our guest today was a victim of rape at a young age, but Betty Makoni overcame the devastating experience. She discussed her non-profit organization, Girl Child Network, with VOA’s health correspondent Linord Moudou.

And finally, a provocative new play made its world premiere in Washington recently.  "Eclipsed" has audiences talking about its portrayal of African women caught in the middle of civil war in Liberia.  VOA's Carolyn Turner has more.
