Tway in Lead for Final Round of Memorial Golf Tournament

American golfer Bob Tway has a one-stroke lead headed into the final round of the Memorial golf tournament in Muirfield, Ohio.

Tway fired a four under par, 68 in his third round and is at 12 under-par, 204 for the tournament. American Stewart Cink is in second place, one stroke back after shooting a 3-under-par, 69 in his third round.

Former British Open winner Justin Leonard of the United States is in third place at 10-under-par, 206. Leonard fired an even par, 72 in his third round.

Americans Skip Kendall, John Cook and Japan's Shigeki Maruyama are in a three-way tie for fourth at 9-under for the tournament. Kendall shot a 4-under, 68 while Cook fired a 7-under- par, 65 in his third round. Maruyama had a 5-under-par, 67.

World number one golfer Tiger Woods of the United States is well out of the running, at even par, 216 after shooting an even par, 72 in his third round.


Danish golfer Anders Hansen has a five shot lead headed into the final round of the Volvo PGA Championship tournament in Wentworth, England.

The 31-year-old Dane fired a 6-under-par, 66 in windy conditions to finish the third round at 17-under-par, 199. Spain's Carlos Rodiles is in second place five strokes back after shooting a 4-under-par, 68. Eduardo Romero of Argentina is in third place, seven strokes off the lead after shooting a 1-under-par, 71 in his third round.

Former Masters champion Nick Faldo of England is in a three-way tie for fourth with Zimbabwe's Mark McNulty and former European Order of Merit winner Colin Montgomerie of Scotland at 9-under-par, 207.
