The militants who are holding three U.N. workers hostage in Afghanistan have extended their deadline until Tuesday evening local time.
Earlier they had threatened to kill the hostages on Monday if their demand for the release of 26 Taleban prisoners was not met.
The kidnappers seized the hostages - two women from Kosovo and Northern Ireland and a man from the Philippines - in Kabul on October 29. Since then, they have fixed and then extended a number of deadlines.
The abductors say they belong to a group known as Jaish-ul-Muslimeen, meaning the Army of Muslims.
