Sri Lankan Government Tsunami Disaster Relief Information


29 December 2004

Many of the countries affected by the earthquake and tsunami on December 26, 2004 have set up hotlines for citizens and foreign nationals in the affected areas.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has established a 24-hour assistance unit to help with queries from Sri Lankans living abroad and foreign nationals regarding the whereabouts of friends and relatives in Sri Lanka.
