The head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council says Tehran wants to resolve its differences with Washington and that a U.S. military strike will not destroy all of Iran's nuclear facilities.

Hassan Rowhani, who is also Iran's top nuclear negotiator, made the remark on state television Tuesday.

He said Iran can move its nuclear workshops under mountains and carry out its program where no bomb and missile could be effective.

Mr. Rowhani said Iran is not seeking tensions with the United States, but that Washington is blocking all efforts to resolve differences.

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said last week that a military strike against Iran was "not on the agenda at this point."

The United States accuses Iran of secretly trying to develop nuclear weapons. Iran denies the charge.
