Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao toured India's technology hub, Bangalore, Sunday urging both sides to set aside their historic rivalry and instead work together.

While visiting India's largest software exporter, Tata Consultancy Services, Mr. Wen said India has the advantage in software and China in hardware. He said that if the two countries join hands, they will be able to launch - what he called - the "Asian century" of information technology.

Mr. Wen also toured the Indian Space Research Organization and the Bangalore offices of China's largest telecommunication equipment maker, Huawei Technologies.

During a visit at the Indian Institute of Science and Technology, a Tibetan youth climbed up a tower and shouted anti-China slogans and tossed down pamphlets. On Saturday, Tibetan youths staged a protest in front of the Chinese Embassy in New Delhi against Chinese rule in Tibet.

On Monday, Mr. Wen will travel to New Delhi for talks with Prime Minister Singh on border issues and bilateral trade.
