Iraqi police say a suicide car bombing in Baghdad Monday killed at least three policemen and wounded six others, along with one civilian.

Police say the attacker detonated explosives after driving into two police vehicles near several policemen standing around at a road intersection.

Meanwhile, the U.S. military says another American soldier was killed Sunday by small arms fire near the city of Samarra - raising the death toll to eight U.S. servicemen killed in separate attacks and bombings across Iraq since Saturday.

Sunday, the U.S. military also announced the capture of a top aide to al-Qaida-linked terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

The military said Amar Adnan Muhammad Hamzah al-Zubaydi was seized Thursday during a raid in Baghdad, along with plans to assassinate Iraqi government leaders.

Meanwhile, Iraq's parliament has approved six cabinet ministers to fill vacant posts in the new government.  One appointee later said he would not accept the Human Rights portfolio he said was given to him solely because he is a Sunni.
