Kenny Chesney Named Country Music's Entertainer of the Year

American singer Kenny Chesney has been named country music's Entertainer of the Year, and Australian Keith Urban won Top Male Vocalist, during the 40th annual Academy of Country Music Awards.

Urban also won for top album.

Newcomer Gretchen Wilson took home the Top New Artist award and cried when she accepted her second honor as the top Female Vocalist.

Tim McGraw took top single and song honors for his hit "Live Like You Were Dying." He had been nominated in six categories.

Brad Paisley's duet with Alison Krauss on the song "Whiskey Lullaby" won for best video and vocal event.

The country music awards were presented Tuesday night in the western U.S. city of Las Vegas.
