Officials in Equatorial Guinea say there were no survivors on a passenger plane that crashed shortly after take-off Sunday with about 55 people on board.
Some airline officials say the exact number of people aboard the plane is unclear, as flight manifests in poorer African countries are often incomplete.
The Russian-made airliner was was on a domestic flight from the capital city Malabo on Bioko Island, to the city of Bata on the mainland.
The plane, operated by the local company Equatair, went down about 30 kilometers from Malabo. Rescue teams rushed to crash site to look for possible survivors.
