US Army Sergeant Joe Roche served in Baghdad for 15 months with the 16th Engineer Battalion of the 1st Armored Division. His unit worked on helping rebuild Iraq's infrastructure, including schools and sewage systems, while fighting insurgents and terrorists. His unit also helped train new Iraqi soldiers. The following are pictures he took during his stay in Iraq.
