Israeli forces have carried out air strikes on a vehicle and buildings linked to the Palestinian militant group, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades.

Three Palestinian men were killed in a Gaza City attack while Israeli aircraft and artillery also targeted areas near the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun.  Israel launched the strikes Sunday after Palestinians fired rockets from Gaza into southern Israel on Friday.

Elsewhere, Israeli police say a knife-wielding Palestinian man killed a woman and wounded five other passengers on a bus near Tel Aviv.  Authorities say the man entered Israel from the West Bank.

Tensions between Israel and the Palestinians have risen in recent days after Israel killed a top commander of the Islamic Jihad militant group.
