An explosion has killed a Palestinian militant and injured two others.

A powerful explosion destroyed a house in the Jebaliya refugee camp, in the northern Gaza Strip.

The blast killed Ahmed Ibrahim Sari - a member of the armed wing of the Hamas militant group. Sari's wife and eight-year-old child were also injured in the blast.

A spokesman for the Israeli military says the Israeli Army was not involved in the incident.

More than a dozen Palestinians have been killed in recent days in worsening violence between the Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah. Occasionally, Palestinian militants are accidentally killed while handling explosives.

Meanwhile, wire services report that employees of Palestinian Television say Hamas gunmen attacked their Gaza office Monday.

The employees say the gunmen destroyed equipment and accused the network of favoring the rival Fatah faction of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. A Hamas spokesman denied involvement.

Hours earlier in Gaza, Palestinian government workers mobbed banks to demand back-pay promised by the government. There were no immediate reports of injury.

The incidents are the latest as tensions rise in the Palestinian territories over factional fighting and the Hamas-led government's failure to pay civil servants since February. On Saturday, the government said it would pay one-fourth, or 40-thousand, of its employees.

International economic sanctions over the Hamas-led government's refusal to disarm and recognize Israel have rendered the Palestinian government unable to pay salaries since it took power in March.
