In a new audio recording attributed to Osama bin Laden, the al-Qaida leader warns Iraqi Shi'ites against cooperating with coalition forces.

The message, posted Saturday on the internet, also accused Shi'ites of waging genocide against Sunni Arabs in Iraq. Bin Laden said Shi'ites can not violate Sunni cities and at the same time expect their cities to remain safe from retaliation.

Bin Laden urged al-Qaida fighters to continue the effort to force foreign armies to leave Iraq.

The message also endorsed the new leader of al-Qaida in Iraq, Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, also known as Abu Ayyub al-Masri. He took over after a U.S. air strike in early June killed al-Qaida in Iraq chief Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

In the new message, bin Laden warned countries of the world not to send troops to Somalia, where Islamist militias have taken control of the capital, Mogadishu, and other areas. He appealed to Somalis to back the militias.

The internet message lasted about 19 minutes. Saturday's posting follows another message from bin Laden which was made public Friday.
