Zimbabwe’s under-18 Young Warriors have instilled fresh hope to the country's soccer fans with their 5-4 victory over Botswana on penalties at the first Anoca (African National Olympic Committee Association) Zone Six games in Maseru, Lesotho.

Zimbabwe Soccer Supporters Association Vice President Eddie Mboma Nyatanga told tells reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that the Monday result breathed new life into the country’s discouraged soccer fraternity.

Elsewhere, Mwana Africa lost 2-0 to Burkina Faso’s Etoile Filante in the first leg of its CAF Confederation Cup qualifier. A return leg is set for Harare in two weeks.
