Forest Whitaker, who this year received Oscar, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors' Guild trophies for his portrayal of African dictator Idi Amin in The Last King Of Scotland, is now the 2,335th addition to the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

Speaking at the April 16 ceremony, the 45-year-old actor-director said "I remember as a kid coming to the Walk Of Fame. It was like a field trip and very exciting to us."

Also present were fellow stars Keifer Sutherland and Angela Bassett, Whitaker's wife Keisha, and their daughters Autumn, Sonnet, and True.

After an injury ended his college football career, Forest Whitaker briefly studied music before making his on-screen debut in the hit 1982 movie Fast Times At Ridgemont High.

To prepare for his role as Idi Amin, he gained 22 kilos, learned to play the accordion, and spent time in Uganda talking to Amin's friends, relatives, generals, and victims.
