The long-running feud between movie star Alec Baldwin and his ex-wife Kim Basinger erupted anew on April 19, with the release of his angry phone message admonishing his 11-year-old daughter, Ireland.

On the recording, Baldwin can be heard calling his daughter a "Rude, thoughtless little pig," lacking in brains and decency. He was apparently upset that the girl failed to answer her phone for a planned call.

Alec Baldwin's spokesman accused Basinger and her lawyer of leaking the message, originally placed on April 11. It appeared on the celebrity news site TMZ.com.

Calls to both parties' attorneys were not returned.

Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger were married in 1993 and divorced in 2002. They have since publicly fought over issues of custody and other matters.

Basinger was charged with contempt of court in October for violating terms of a 2004 custody agreement. Another visitation hearing is scheduled for May 4.
