Zimbabwe's Motor Action Football Club has named former Under-23 national team goalkeepers coach Richard Tswatswa as interim coach and made team captain Prince Matore his assistant, after sacking former coach Keegan Mumba on the weekend.

Mumba said he accepted being fired but deplored the fact that he only learned of his firing through the media, accusing management of lacking professionalism.

Club Chairman Simeon Jamada said the club was unhappy with Mumba’s performance and would give him written notice of the official decision made on Tuesday.

Mumba, instrumental in driving Motor Action to second place in last year's Premier League, told reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye that the club's managers were panicking though is time enough for improvement in the current season.
