American tennis player Venus Williams has won her fourth women's title at Wimbledon by scoring a straight-sets victory over Marion Bartoli of France.

Williams, seeded 23rd at this event, beat the French player easily, 6-4, 6-1. It took only 90 minutes for the American to win the title for the fourth time.

This was the first time the two players have met on the WTA Tour. Bartoli had upset top seed and world number one Justine Henin of Belgium in the semifinals.

World number one men's player Roger Federer and three-time French Open champion Rafael Nadal of Spain advanced to the men's final with victories Saturday.

Federer, the top seed, scored a straight-sets win over Frenchman Richard Gasquet, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4. Nadal advanced when his opponent, Novak Djokovic of Serbia, retired in the third set (6-3, 1-6, 1-4).

Sunday's final will be a rematch of last year's men's final when Federer beat Nadal in straight sets. The Spanish player beat Federer in their last meeting at a major tournament - last month's French Open final in Paris.

Federer will be going for his fifth consecutive Wimbledon title Sunday at the All England Club.
