Lindsay Lohan will spend one day behind bars for drunken driving and cocaine possession.

The 21-year-old actress must also serve 10 days of community service, complete an 18-month alcohol education program, pay hundreds of dollars in fines, and complete a three-day county coroner program in which she'll visit a morgue and talk to victims of drunken drivers.

In a statement released by her publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnik, Lohan said "It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs. I broke the law and today I took responsibility by pleading guilty to the charges in my case."

Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers said Lohan received no special treatment in her August 23 plea deal. Mayers said that if Lohan is convicted on another impaired driving charge, she would receive a mandatory 120-day jail sentence. She faces additional jail time if she violates her probation in any way.

Lohan has until Jan. 18, 2008 to complete her jail time, community service and residential drug-rehabilitation program. She must also show proof of enrollment in the 18-month alcohol education program required of all second-time drunken driving offenders.

Lohan was charged earlier in the day with seven misdemeanors stemming from two drunken-driving arrests in the last four months. Prosecutors say they did not file felony drug charges because Lohan did not possess enough cocaine to warrant them.

Police found a small quantity of the drug in her pocket after her most recent arrest on July 24. The judge sentenced Lohan to 96 hours in jail, the mandatory minimum for second-time drunk driving offenders. She was given credit for 24 hours already served, while electing to compete 10 days of community service rather than serve 48 hours behind bars - an option available to all two-time DUI offenders. Meyers said Lohan must still serve the balance of her sentence - 24 hours - in city or county jail.

Lindsay Lohan is currently undergoing treatment at a residential facility in Utah. Meyers said she will remain there for at least 30 days to satisfy her sentence on the cocaine charges.
