Sexiest woman alive? That would be Charlize Theron. Esquire Magazine has anointed the 32-year-old actress with the title, previously bestowed on such stars as Angelina Jolie, Jessica Biel, and Scarlett Johansson.

The issue featuring Theron arrives Oct. 16. Charlize Theron spoke about growing up on a farm in South Africa, her political interests, and her work, including her latest film, the Iraq War-themed murder mystery In The Valley Of Elah.

"I wanted to make the movie precisely because it evades formulas about guilt," she said. "I'm drawn to ambiguity."

Citing 2000's Reindeer Games as her least-favorite movie, Theron said "That was a bad, bad movie. But...I got to work with [director] John Frankenheimer. I wasn't lying to myself - that's why I did it."

Theron won an Oscar for Monster, in which she portrayed female serial killer Aileen Wuornos. Her other credits include The Cider House Rules and Aeon Flux.
