The Boston Celtics beat the Philadelphia 76ers 113-103 in Wednesday's slate of games in the National Basketball Association.

Boston's trio of heralded veterans dominated once again - Kevin Garnett led the team with 22 points, Paul Pierce had 19 points and 12 assists and Ray Allen scored 12.

Teammates Eddie House and James Posey hit key three-point shots late in the game against an inspired Philadelphia team.

Elsewhere in the NBA Wednesday, the Los Angeles Lakers downed the Denver Nuggets 111-107, overcoming a season-high 51-points by Denver star Allen Iverson. Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 25 points.

The Washington Wizards enjoyed a 105-86 rout of the slumping Cleveland Cavaliers, who have lost four straight games without injured star LeBron James. The Phoenix Suns beat the Toronto Raptors 136-123. Chicago's Luol Deng scored 30 points to lead the Bulls to a 91-82 win over the Charlotte Bobcats.

The New York Knicks beat the New Jersey Nets 100-93. The Detroit Pistons earned their fifth straight win with a 91-76 defeat of the Charlotte Hornets. Houston's Tracy McGrady had 17 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists to lead the Rockets to a 105-92 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The San Antonio Spurs edged in-state rival Dallas Mavericks 97-95, thanks to a season-high 37 points from Manu Ginobili. The Golden State Warriors trounced the Milwaukee Bucks 120-90, and the Seattle Super Sonics beat the Los Angeles Clippers 95-88.
