Zimbabwe's women's cricket team has distinguished itself in its first qualifying match in the International Cricket Council’s Women’s World Cup qualifying series under way in Stellenbosch,South Africa, defeating Scotland's women by 75 runs on Monday. 

Zimbabwe, Scotland, Ireland and Pakistan are in Group B in the qualifying round, and the winner of the pool will play in the World Cup next year in Australia.

Cricket commentator Brian Goredema tells reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that the women’s impressive performance could gain them better recognition within Zimbabwean cricket circles.
