Blogger Claims Cuba Has Blocked Access

25 March 2008

Cuba's most-read blogger says her government has blocked access to her Web site.

Yoani Sanchez, whose "Generacion Y" blog is critical of the Cuban government, says Cuban Internet users can no longer see her blog, and get only an error message.

"Generacion Y" describes the hardships of living in Cuba. It gets about a million hits per month, worldwide.

Sanchez has criticized Cuba's new leader, Raul Castro, for what she calls his "vague promises of change. "
