The World Health Organization says tobacco use presently kills at least five million people every year

A recent story in The New York Times newspaper raised serious questions about the credibility of a lung cancer study paid for in part by a large tobacco company. 

As VOA's Melinda Smith reports, there is growing concern the study raised false hopes for lung cancer patients.
