The space shuttle Endeavour has undocked from the International Space Station after bringing equipment needed to expand its capacity from three to six people.

The shuttle left the orbiting outpost Friday with seven astronauts, and looped around the space station so the shuttle crew could photograph its exterior.

The astronauts shared a Thanksgiving dinner Thursday with the three-person crew aboard the International Space Station before saying their goodbyes and sealing the hatches between the shuttle and the space station.

The shuttle is scheduled to arrive at the Kennedy Space Center in the southeastern U.S. state of Florida on Sunday.

As part of the 16-day mission, the shuttle crew delivered and installed a new toilet, kitchen equipment, and water recycling system meant to allow the space station to double its crew capacity.
