Brahim Deby was found dead in July 2007, in the underground parking garage of his suburban Paris apartment building.  Officials said he had been suffocated with chemicals from a fire extinguisher.

French officials say they have four of the suspects in their custody, while the fifth was arrested in Romania and will be extradited to France.

French police say the motive for the killing does not appear to have anything to do with politics.

Brahim Deby was convicted in June 2006 of drug possession and for illegally carrying a weapon.  A French court gave him a six-month suspended jail sentence.

Following the conviction, President Deby fired his son from the position of presidential advisor.
