The earthquake in Haiti three weeks ago has created an on-going humanitarian crisis. To provide some explanation and context to the dire situation, Voice of America has produced a half-hour video special report: "Haiti: A Nation in Peril."
This program features updates on the evolving emergency in Haiti, background reports on Haiti's long-term political, economic and environmental problems, and discussion of the steps needed to help the people of Haiti and also prevent the nation from becoming a failed state.
