Our mission is to provide the most accurate, comprehensive, balanced and up-to-the-minute news and information, using the VOA Charter and Journalistic Code as our guides. We take pride in our ability to provide continuous updates, but beyond our role as reporters, VOA News Now strives to put events into perspective. We believe that to be relevant to our listeners, we must report what is going on in the U.S. and the world, and explain how those events affect people's lives.

We broadcast a full news summary at the top of every hour, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Most hours we also broadcast news headlines at half past every hour and have expanded news and in-depth coverage and analysis of the events and issues of the day.
