Erin Brummett (Moderator and Executive Producer) Erin joined Talk to America in January, 2005, her 18th year at VOA. Erin has been a program anchor and producer for VOA News Now, which she joined in 1998. She anchored daily coverage of the 2004 Democratic and 2000 Republican Party Nominating Conventions. She covered both candidates in the 1996 U.S. presidential campaign. Erin provided special cross-country reaction coverage of the September, 2001 terror attacks. She helped produce special coverage of the death of Jordan’s King Hussein, the 1999 NATO Summit, and a series of live broadcasts from Nigeria. Her special assignments included coverage of the 1994 Cuban boat crisis, and the 1994 Haitian political crisis. She has covered the White House, Congress and the Defense and State Departments. Erin attended Kansas State University 1981-1985, receiving her BA in Radio/Television. She speaks fluent Spanish. She lives with her family in Arlington, Virginia. Erin is from Hutchinson, Kansas. |
