Deborah Tate reports for VOA on Capitol Hill politics and the U.S. Senate in particular.

She moved to the halls of Congress from VOA's White House Bureau, where for seven years she filed stories from Washington and around the world.

Since joining VOA in 1985, Deborah has also held positions News Anchor, News Writer and General Assignment Reporter.

Deborah is a graduate of Wellesley College and a native of Connecticut, where she worked as a reporter for several radio stations and newspapers.

She enjoys foreign films and travel.
