वीओए हिन्दी और वीओए उर्दू की एक पहल है जिसमें भारत और पाकिस्तान के संबंधों की चर्चा होगी. दोनों देशों के बीच तनाव के पीछे के कारणों को बेहतर समझने की कोशिश होगी. क्षेत्र में अमेरिका की भूमिका पर बातचीत होगी. कार्यक्रम में जानकारों की राय ली जायेगी और इन पड़ोसी देशों के संबंधों को बेहतर बनने के प्रयासों पर रौशनी डाली जायेगी. हर सप्ताह बुधवार की सुबह, अमेरिका लाइव में यह कार्यक्रम देखा जा सकता है. कार्यक्रम के एंकर्स हैं वीओए हिन्दी की निहारिका आचार्या और वीओए उर्दू के कोकब फ़र्शोरी.

1. Interview with Niharaka
I was very impressed by the thoroughness of the interveiw and the skills of the anchor, Niharaka. Much of the interview echoed what I have read by Steve Coll's article "The Back Channel," The New Yorker (March 2, 2009) and recent articles in The Economist.
The fact is Holbrooke's designation may not specifiy India, but the Kashmir issue is central to his dossier. If the jahadi's are sucessful in shifting the debate to Kashimri seperation and raising Anti-Indian sentiment and fears - the Pak Military will be forced to reduce troops in the NWFP and thus increasing the Taliban's role on the border and in Afghanistan. Likewise, the Indian Govt will not be so composed if future attacks from LeT or the like occur on Indian soil.
