VOA Hindi launched its first radio newscast on July 1, 1954 via shortwave for 30 minutes daily. Since then, the service has enhanced its range of programming, boosting our weekly output to one and a half hours each day. Our veteran team of broadcasters, reporters, producers and engineers work tirelessly day and night to ensure the highest quality broadcast with news relevant to your needs. Our Format:
VOA Hindi implemented a new contemporary radio format, bringing new life and vigor to the operation and final product. The new format focuses on shorter stories and feature segments, increased call in capacity, newer and more frequent station ID’s and music beds all working jointly to give a fresh, 21st-century sound and vision to VOA Hindi broadcasts.
