The VOA Amharic program's Fregenet Asseged talked to environmental scientist Getachew Assefa, who comments on the significance of the new report released by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

The report, released at a conference of experts in Paris, was reviewed by 25-hundred scientists from 113 countries. The scientists say they are more than 90 percent certain that man-made pollutants are causing the Earth to experience rising sea levels, erratic weather and increases in temperature in this century.
