국제원자력기구는 이란이 원자폭탄의 핵심부분에 대한 자세한 디자인을 전달 받았다고 말했습니다.

국제원자력기구는 모하메드 엘바라데이 사무총장의 보고서에서 이란은 이 디자인을 요청한 바 없다고 주장하지만 파키스탄의 과학자 압둘 카디르 칸씨가 운영하는 핵 암시장에서 이를 넘겨받았다고 밝혔습니다.

보고서는 이란이 이 디자인을 포함한 핵 관련 문건들을 지난 1987년 입수했다고 말했습니다.

국제원자력기구 주재 미국 대사는 이란의 이들 문건 보유는 핵무기 계획과 관련해 새로운 우려를 제기하고 있다고 말했습니다.

The United Nations nuclear safety agency says Iran has turned over detailed designs for what could be the metal core of an atomic bomb.

A report from International Atomic Energy Agency chief Mohamed ElBaradei Friday says Iran insists it did not ask for the designs but was given them by Pakistan's nuclear black market network run by scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan.

The report says Iran obtained the designs and other nuclear documents in 1987.

The U.S. envoy to the IAEA (Gregory Schulte) says Iran's possession of the documents raises new concerns about Tehran's plans for a weapons program that the government has failed to explain.
