Marla:      May I help you?

 

David:      Yes, my name is David Wan.

 

                  I’m from the East-West Trading Company.

 

                  Here’s my card.

 

Marla:       Uh-huh.  Thank you, Mr. Wan.

 

David:       I’d like to speak to Ms. Suzanne Martins.

 

Marla:       Do you have an appointment?

 

David:       No, actually I don’t.  I just happened to be in town.

 

Marla:      Well, Ms. Martins is very busy today.

 

                  I’m afraid that she won’t have time to talk to you.

 

David:      Well, actually she knows me fairly well.

 

                  Could you let her know I’m here?

 

 

 

Marla:       If you’ll take a seat, I’ll see if I can contact her.

 

David:      Thank you.
