Sixteen-year old sensation is selected to represent Laos in the J-ASEAN pop songs festival to be held in Yokohama, Japan, later this year.

Alexandra, or Thidavanh Bounxouei, says she has received a very warm welcome eveywhere she performs since her arrival in the U.S in late June.

In her homeland of Laos, the teenage singer of Laotian and Bulgarian descent has performed extensively and received wide acclaim since her debut album came out a year ago.

All her concerts have anti-drug themes during which she urges her peers to stay away from drugs.
