Cell phone usage in Laos has steadily increased during the past three years, from over 103,000 to more than 300,000 sets now.

Meanwhile, Lao tourism authorities say they expect close to one million tourists will visit Laos this year, with the majority coming from the Southeast Asia region because of the no-visa requirement among ASEAN member-nations.
