Savannakhet Governor Vilayvanh Phomkhe says his province will be ready to host the 7th National Sports Tournament at the end of the year and the construction of the new stadium will be completed on time.

Meanwhile, Lao government officials say they will do everything possible to be ready to host the 2009 SEA Games as scheduled, although it is unclear where they will get the $100 million needed to build a new modern stadium big enough to accommodate 20,000 spectators.
